These drivers are static examples detailed in Application Note 197: The Serial Communications Guide for the CP210x. These devices can also interface to a host using the direct access driver. If the problem repeats then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here. Was there something like an Update or other install that caused this? If so see if you can System Restore to a point before the problem began following this guide.

And if that doesn't help then try Uninstall Driver, restart PC to reinstall it. If that doesn't help then try Roll Back driver, if available. If that doesn't work then try Update Driver > Browse > Let Me Pick to try all previously installed drivers for one that is stable - these even survive Version Updates. Open the controller in Device Manager, try Updating driver, then Automatically. These devices have many programmable options that can be configured via USB.
